Stephan Posner

Stephan Posner was born in Paris in 1963 and now lives in the south of France.

Today retired, he spent seven years as the director of the International Federation of L’Arche Communities, with which he had been involved for more than 40 years. His long experience within communities that bring together people with and without intellectual disabilities has been marked by numerous authentic and profound encounters with individuals who, in general, find themselves on the margins of our societies.

Roots, in a very different context, also brings together men and women from very different backgrounds who would not usually meet, thereby creating experiences that mutually transform them. This deep affinity between the core experiences of participants in Roots and participants in L’arche, as well as his intense desire to contribution to reconciliation between Palestinians and Israelis, are what led Stephan to Roots.

Stephan is the father of four children and lives in a little town out in the countryside with his Franco-Israeli partner.
